THINGS TO DO
- Hike the trail to Woody Gap, Lake Winfield Scott, or Blood Mountain and back in the same day
- Fish for trout at Cooper’s Creek or Lake Winfield Scott(both within a mile driving distance from the cabin)
- Swimming – Lake Winfield Scott has a great swimming area with a sandy beach.
- Tubing and Canoeing - Appalachian Outfitters

- Go horseback riding -
Chattahoochee Backcountry Treks or Sunny Farms North (706) 867-9167.
- Cycle the route of the mountain stages of the tour de Georgia.
- Visit Vogel State Park (8 miles), Deep Hole Recreation Area, Cooper Creek Wildlife Management Area
- Antique Shopping – Dahlonega Square
- Restaurants
- Two Wheels Only – Suches, corner of 180 and 60 (unless you are on a motorcycle, park on the edge of the rd) food is great, bring your own alcohol.
- Lenny’s Grill- Suches, take a right out of Happy Hollow. It’s about a mile or so on the right (open May-Oct).
- Caruso’s – Italian – Dahlonega – on the square
- Corkscrew – semi - formal dining just off the square in Dahlonega
